Meet the Band

Vocals
TJ
TJ Whiting is a genre-defying singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose work bridges raw emotion with boundary-pushing sound design. Drawing influence from artists like Senses Fail, ADTR, Hawthorne Heights, Mayday Parade, and Juice WRLD he fuses alternative rock, metalcore, trap, indie, and acoustic electronica into a sound that feels both emotionally raw and sonically expansive. His music thrives on contrast—balancing vulnerability with intensity—while his lyricism explores love, loss, identity, and personal evolution with unfiltered honesty.

Rhythm Guitar
Bernie Flores
San Antonio, guitarist with over two decades of experience since picking up the guitar in 2003. Influenced by bands ranging from Blink-182 to August Burns Red, he delivers a dynamic blend of pop punk and metalcore. Since his debut performance in 2012 at the iconic White Rabbit, Bernie has been captivating audiences with his fusion of catchy melodies and heavy riffs, reflecting his diverse musical influences.

Bass
Robert Dishman II
Robert Dishman II is a San Antonio-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who brings raw energy and melodic depth to rock, alternative, and punk-infused sounds. Specializing in guitar and bass, he builds tight grooves and memorable hooks that drive songs forward, whether in the studio layering riffs and bass lines or commanding the stage with live intensity.
His work has earned press recognition, including a feature at AllPunkedUp.com highlighting the heavy, fresh melodies and vocal range in his band's tracks. Robert has also shared stages at notable festivals and stayed deeply connected to the independent music community through consistent collaborations and performances. Grounded in passion for the craft, he keeps pushing creative boundaries while delivering music that's honest, driving, and built to resonate.

Lead Guitar
Dr. Dan
Undiagnosed ADHDer & Caffeine Addict, Pet Rescue & Animal Advice, Motivational Band Speaker AKA Cpt Positivity
Before he was shredding stages with S4S, Dan was hauling a duct taped & sand covered red electric guitar down a Caribbean strip for incoming cruise ships to hear the sweet loud distortion before they docked. While earning his degree in veterinary medicine, he funded tuition the only way that made sense … by playing every show he could. Somewhere among palm trees, pets, and power chords … he also studied the art of contagious melodies and hard-hitting riffs that radiate emotion. His guitar work blends in the mix while creating hard hitting music to bridge chaos and clarity. When he’s not working ER over night shifts or under stage lights, he’s home with his family and playing private shows for all of his rescue pets!

Drums
Teddy
Ted Ruiz is a lifelong musician with roots in school band. Based out of San Antonio, Ted brings a musician-first approach, grounded in rock drumming built on pocket, dynamics, and serving the song. His playing has been shaped through ongoing private study with respected professionals, plus clinics and masterclasses led by world-class artists such as Todd Sucherman of Styx and Jake Sommers from Luke Combs' band. Outside of the stage, Ted is also a substitute drum instructor at a local music academy. He loves teaching young drummers and encouraging their contagious joy and curiosity. Helping them turn that enthusiasm into confidence (and a solid groove) is one of the most rewarding parts. More recently, Ted has been performing with a local nonprofit’s percussion ensemble and dance troupe that promotes art and culture through music and dance, appearing at events across the city such as Fiesta and the Dia De Los Muertos river parade.
Sunset For Strangers SATX is a band dedicated to creating unique Pop Punk/Hardcore/Electronic blending heavy breakdowns with vulnerable emotion. Their music lives in the space between love and loss — beautiful endings, desperate words, and the feeling of being a stranger to yourself.
